Mission Impossible.

Welcome to our blog!

On the 15 of March 2012, we went over the bridge separating Singapore and Malaysia, Desaru, where we went for an educational field trip. However, we were also given a mission by the wonderful Mr. Hazrin, to complete a whole blog dedicated to the trip.

At dawn, we, Umairah and Sakina, woke up from our deep slumber, put on our clothes, with excitement in our hearts and sweat on our body, we left home with our parents. Sakina by car and Umairah by motorbike. We reached school early, at 6:45. 15 minutes before the actual time that we were required to be there. When we arrived, we sat in the canteen as Mr. Fathul had asked us to fill in our immigration cards. Then when everybody had arrived, we proceeded to the bus that would take us to the Tuas checkpoint eagerly. We were unfortunately separated from our jovial friends from next door. :( But nevertheless, we still enjoyed ourselves.

 Excited faces.
A'in hugging the newly fifteen Syafiah.
 The 'I-cannot-wait' face.
Mr. Fathul and Ustaz Raziff, two of the teachers who accompanied us on this trip.

While on the bus, with us being teenage girls, we snapped photos of anybody and everybody in the bus. We were squealing with delight at the thought of going overseas with your friends actually becoming a reality. High-pitched voices rang through our ears as we chit-chatted to one another. Soon after, it was time to get our passports out as we had arrived at the Singapore Tuas Checkpoint.

Passport ready!

Thankfully, we got through the immigration with ease. But it was time to rejoice, our awesome day in Desaru was just beginning and we were already having the time of our lives.

BYE SINGAPORE!

At about 8:45 am, we reached the Malaysian Kastam Immigresen where we said goodbye to the old-fashioned bus and said hello to a brand new coach with reclining seats and flowery interior. We also said hello to our tour guide for the day, Uncle Ramlee, or as he prefers, Uncle Lee and our bus driver, Brother Nash or as we like to call him, Mash Potatoes. Initially, Uncle Lee was quite a fierce man. Umairah and Aisyah Z were joking around with him but they got reprimanded by him. :( But he lightened up the rest of the trip and he ended up to be the best tour guide ever. Brother Nash then drove us from the Kastam to the Gelang Patah rest stop for our breakfast. The minute we arrived, we immediately queued up to buy food as we were quite hungry.

All the happy faces in Malaysia.
 The new bus.
 Gelang Patah rest stop.
Mr. Abdul Rahman. Another teacher that accompanied us.
 Yummy breakfast. :3

After we finished our breakfast, we proceeded to the snack shop nearby to buy some snacks and drinks for our long drive up to Desaru, which took about 1-2 hours. And at 9:45 am, we left Gelang Patah for the next stop on our itinerary, the Museum Nelayan.

The mandatory bottle of chewing gum to be bought every Malaysia trip.
The beautiful view of the sea from the back of the bus.

The mission impossible continues.....
